From a simple idea at the kitchen table to a live app in the App Store. Here's how Gymies was born — and where we\'re heading.
Since 2025, we've been building something new
No big office, no investors. Just a team that believes personal training can be fairer and easier.
The Idea
We saw the problem: many people want to work with a personal trainer, but it's complicated. Phone calls, emails, contracts, high commissions. There had to be a better way — a platform where trainers and clients connect directly.
First Lines of Code
We started building. An iOS app, a website, a backend. Everything from the idea: simple for the client, fair for the trainer. Zero commission on bookings — trainers own 100% of their rates.
Live in the App Store
The Gymies app launched in the App Store. The foundation is set: bookings, payments via Mollie, in-app chat, trainer profiles, and reviews. The platform is ready — now we need to fill it.
Scaling Up
We're actively recruiting the first trainers and building our network across the Netherlands. The platform works, the tech is solid — now it's time to grow. We're looking for trainers, ambassadors, and early adopters to build with us.
The Market Is Wide Open
Nothing like this exists in the Dutch market right now. No fair platform that doesn't take commissions from trainers. Gymies fills that gap — and we're just getting started. Be part of the beginning.
