How Gymies works

Who does what, how the order of trainers is decided, how reviews work and where your money goes. Short and honest.

Who does what

The trainer: Every trainer on Gymies is a self-employed professional. You make the agreement for a session with the trainer. The trainer sets the price, the location and the times, and gives the session.
Gymies: Gymies is the platform that connects you and the trainer. We handle searching, booking and paying, messages and reviews. Gymies is not a party to the agreement between you and the trainer. Gymies is a trade name of MDJI Group.
Checked: Every trainer is checked by Gymies before their profile goes live. Trainers list their own qualifications and experience.

Distance: Trainers near you come first. Within that, the quality of the trainer decides the order.
Quality: Reviews from clients count most. After that come the number of completed sessions, how quickly the trainer replies to messages and how complete the profile is.
Your preferences: For "Recommended for you" we also look at what you told us, such as your goal, your level, where and when you want to train and your budget.
Your choice: You can sort the list yourself, for example by price, rating or distance, and filter by sport, location and price.
No paid placement: A trainer cannot buy a higher position. A trainer’s plan does not give any priority in the search results either.

Only after a session: Only clients who had a session with the trainer can leave a review.
Not bought: Gymies does not pay for reviews, and trainers cannot buy reviews.

The rate: The trainer’s rate goes to the trainer. Gymies takes no percentage of it. Paying Gymies counts as paying the trainer.
Service fee: For each paid session you pay a small fixed service fee to Gymies. You always see the total before you pay.
Safe payment: You pay online with iDEAL or credit card, through our payment partner. Gymies does not see your card details.
Trainers: Trainers pay Gymies a fixed monthly amount for their plan.
